USA: Head of Rollercoaster Manufacturer S&S Worldwide to Retire
After 40 years of service to the international leisure industry, Tim Timco (photo), President and CEO of S&S Worldwide, Inc. will soon retire. He will be succeeded by Jason Mons, currently COO of the US-based company, who will serve as President and COO effective September 1, 2022. At the same time, Noboru Rachi, currently CEO of owner company Sansei Technologies Inc., will additionally take on the position of CEO of the rollercoaster manufacturing company. Tim Timco will continue to serve S&S Worldwide as a Corporate Advisor through 2023.
Tim Timco says, “I consider myself extremely fortunate and blessed. My 40 years in the amusement industry have been very rewarding both personally and professionally. I have developed relationships with people from all over the world that have become lifelong friends and have memories that I will cherish forever, but now it is time to move on to the next chapter in my life. I thank this wonderful industry, the amazing team at S&S and my dear family for all their support over the years, it certainly has been a great ride!”
In 2012, Timco became part of the S&S Worldwide team as their Director of Business Development, having previously spent many years as an independent consultant to various manufacturer in the industry. In 2014, he was promoted to Vice President – Sales & Marketing before being named President in 2015 and President and CEO of the company a year later. Tim Timco also volunteered much of his time within the amusement industry, serving on the IAAPA Board of Directors (four years), as Head of the international association’s M&S Committee, more than 20 years on the PAPA Board of Directors, and six years on BALPPA’s Management Committee.
