USA: International TEA Board Appoints 2021-2022 Executive Committee
Burbank, California-based Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) – serving the creators, developers, designers and producers from the global themed entertainment industry – announced the members of its new Executive Committee for 2021/2022. The new leadership will begin for a one-year-term this month.
New executives joining the committee are Anthony Pruett (Senior Vice President, The Hattema Group), serving as treasurer, and Evi Sari (Vice President, Location Based Experiences Asia, ViacomCBS), assuming the position of Secretary. Further serving on the committee are Matt Barton (CEO, 7th Sense), Shannon Martin (Director of Business Development, Color Reflections) and Nathan Jones (CEO, Medici XD) as Vice Presidents. Melissa Ruminot (Vice President, Marketing & Client Development, The Nassal Company) will continue to serve as President-Elect (cf. EAP news of 14 Sept 2021); Chuck Fawcett (CEO, Allureum) and Michael Blau (President, Adirondack Studios) will continue in their roles as President and Immediate Past President, respectively.
“This group of talented individuals is ready to work hard in the coming year to help the industry move forward through uncertainty and come out in a place of strength,” said Chuck Fawcett, TEA President. “I’m really looking forward to collaborating with them to bring the incredible value TEA offers to all of our members.”
Only recently, the international association, which had established its own official presence in China with TEA China last fall (cf. EAP news of 23 Sept 2021), announced the foundation of a China Development Council, whose Chairman Owen Zhao, President of Max-Matching Entertainment Co., Ltd., was appointed for two years. According to TEA China, it has already welcomed its first member: the Beijing Shouhuan Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd., the majority shareholder of Universal Beijing Resort. (eap)
