USA: Kings Island Opens New „Mystic Timbers“ Woodie
Located in the US state of Ohio, Kings Island leisure park, which belongs to Cedar Fair Group, has now opened its new “Mystic Timbers” wooden coaster for the start of this season on April 15th (c.f. EAP news from August 1st, 2016).
Mystic Timbers is the fourth wooden coaster and at the same time the 18th rollercoaster of the park. Supplied by Great Coasters International (GCI), the new coaster is located in the “Rivertown Area”. Before starting their journey, guests pass the preshow area, which was developed by Holovis as a turnkey production in cooperation with Daniels Wood Land. The latter provided the scenic elements for the queue line and in the ride.
Visitors can look forward to a thrilling ride at a maximum speed of 85.3 km/h (53 mph), including 16 airtime hills. The coaster reaches 33.3 meters (109.2 feet) in height, with a track length of just under one kilometer (3,265 feet). (eap)
