USA: Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Resort Announces to Open First Slide Wheel in the US in 2022

After the world’s third Slide Wheel installation developed by German manufacturing company Wiegand.Waterrides was opened in China this past spring (cp. EAP news of 17 May 2021), another attraction of this kind is currently coming to life in Wisconsin Dells, USA, the opening of which has been postponed to 2022. The first Slide Wheel in the US, which is being implemented there by licensee WhiteWater West, which now owns the exclusive worldwide rights to this product, is being built at Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park, which originally planned to hand over the slide to visitors this year.
Now, the US waterpark has announced the opening of the slide, dubbed “Medusa”, for summer next year – as an indoor installation. While the majority of the slide structure will be installed outdoors, the entrance and exit areas of the slide for guests will be located inside the covered area of the water park, according to the park’s visualizations. As part of this project, the indoor area of the water park will also see an expansion. The Sauk City (Wisconsin)-based architectural firm of Ramaker & Associates is responsible for the planning of the expansion. (eap)
