USA: New “Disney Skyliner“ Gondola Transportation System at Walt Disney World Resort Now Open
This past Sunday saw the inauguration of the new “Disney Skyliner” gondola transportation system at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando/FL, connecting Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot with four Disney hotels. Guests at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort and the future Riviera Resort (opening scheduled for 16th December this year) are now able to travel to the two theme parks in spacious gondolas. The system features approx. 300 gondola units, which are all accessible for wheelchairs. Some of the gondolas are themed with popular Disney characters. To improve the resort’s infrastructure, the new transportation system also includes stops at several dining and entertainment locations.
