USA: New “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge“ Theme Area at Disneyland Park Anaheim Opens Today

Following a planning and construction period of several years, California’s Disneyland Park celebrates the opening of its new “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” theme area today, immersing guests on an area of 5.6 hectares into the far galaxies of the Star Wars saga (cf. EAP News f. July 20th, 2017). The attraction “Millennium Falcon” – the Star Wars space shuttle, turning guests into pilots themselves – can be experienced by visitors as of today, while the “Star Wars: Ride of the Resistance” interactive game battle will launch later this year. In addition to the two main attractions, Star Wars fans can explore a number of retail stores and food outlets.
The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando/Florida is also close to the opening of its equally named Star Wars theme world at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where visitors will be able to immerse themselves into the saga’s adventures as of August 29 this summer.
