USA: New Thrill Attraction Sunset Walk SlingShot Now Open in Kissimmee

Since last week, a new thrill experience has been up and running in Kissimmee in Central Florida, where the opening of “Sunset Walk SlingShot^TM” was officially celebrated. Located at the Promenade at the Sunset Walk shopping and entertainment complex, the 73-meter high (240 feet) attraction catapults guests two at a time seated in a gondola up to 120 meters (400 feet) in the air at speeds of up to 160 km/h (100 mph) in just a few seconds – the gondola flips over and then plunges into freefall, bouncing up and down a few more times before returning to the ground.

“We know guests will love our exciting new addition to the Promenade at Sunset Walk,” said Ritchie Armstrong, owner of the Slingshot Group who operates the new attraction. “Whether you’re a tourist or a local, the Sunset Walk SlingShot is sure to create fun memories for everyone.”

The attraction, supplied by Austrian company Funtime, is located near Margaritaville Resort Orlando and the Island H2O Water Park, which opened in 2019. The SlingShot Group’s portfolio also includes the three thrill experiences “The Orlando SlingShot” (opened in December 2021), “Freefall” and “StarFlyer” at ICON Park near Orlando’s I-Drive (cf.
