USA: SeaWorld Orlando Celebrates Official Opening of “Ice Breaker” Multi-Launch Coaster
Actually, “Ice Breaker” at SeaWorld Orlando (FL) was scheduled to go into operation already in the 2020 season, but the global pandemic delayed the progress of this project, too. We reported on the coaster, which was supplied by US manufacturer Premier Rides (type: “Sky Rocket”), and its special features in EAP issue 4/21.
And now finally – this past Friday – SeaWorld Orlando was able to officially launch the long-awaited roller coaster novelty, which takes guests on an exciting ride with four launches! People with a min. body height of 1.21 meters can try out the family coaster, on which trains reach a top speed of 83 km/h, cross several airtime hills and climb up a 24-meter-high top hat. A special track element is the 28-meter-high, 100-degree spike – according to SeaWorld Orlando, the “steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida”. (eap)
