USA: Sergio D. Rivera Takes Over as New CEO of SeaWorld Entertainment
After the announcement of different changes on management level this past August (cf. EAP news 9. Aug 2019), SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc. appointed Sergio (Serge) D. Rivera to new Chief Executive Officer of the company and member of the Board of Directors, effective today. He takes over the position from Interim CEO Marc Swanson, who will return to his former role as Chief Financial Officer. Rivera brings many years of professional experience into his new position. Most recently, he held the role as president and CEO of the international tourism company Interval Leisure Group, Inc.‘s (ILG) Vacation Ownership Segment. Previously, he was the president of the Americas for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. “Serge has a strong track record as a leader and operator in the hospitality and leisure industries. He brings to SeaWorld exceptional leadership and management skills across sales, marketing, operations, development, finance and commercial management,“ says Scott Ross, Chairman of the Board of Directors, SeaWorld Entertainment.
Another new member of SeaWorld’s Board of Directors is Neha Jogani Narang, who most recently was responsible for the consumer and development marketing at Facebook. Ross adds: “We are extremely excited to have Neha join our Board of Directors.
