USA: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to Open New Sidewinder Safari Coaster on 28 May
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (SFDK), located in Northern California, announced that it will open the new “Sidewinder Safari Coaster“ on 28 May this year as its overall eleventh roller coaster. The new ride will be a combination of zoo and thrill experience as guests can marvel at several terrariums with reptiles such as snakes and lizards in the themed area of the ride. Sidewinder Safari is a Twisted Coaster from Italian manufacturer Zamperla, which is designed to give guests thrills on a track length of around 420 metres (1,378 feet) with surprising drops, hairpin turns and 360-degree spins.
“[…] Sidewinder Safari is unlike any other ride in Northern California, featuring the thrill of a unique, spinning roller coaster combined with an opportunity to encounter reptiles up-close, which continues Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s long legacy of promoting animal conservation through education.
