USA: Six Flags Fiesta Texas Announced New “Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger“ Dive Coaster for 2022
During yesterday‘s fan event, Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced the addition of the all-new “Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger“ dive coaster to its ride portfolio. The new coaster from Bolliger & Mabillard promises numerous thrilling inversions and ride elements on its 762 metre (2,501 feet)-long track. A cliffhanger hold, which suspends riders as they face straight down a 95-degree drop and then releases them moments later into a 45.7 metre (150 feet) dive. The three trains consist out of three rows with seven seats each. During the ride, the train exhilarates to a maximum speed of around 96 km/h (60 mph).
“Six Flags Fiesta Texas continues to push the limits of thrill and innovation as we prepare to introduce the world’s steepest dive coaster during our 30th anniversary season. Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger joins an already stellar lineup of record-breaking roller coasters, rides, and attractions. With eight intense elements including dramatic inversions and extreme airtime, it will quickly become a fan favorite,” said Park President Jeffrey Siebert. The premier of Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger is scheduled for summer 2022, when Six Flags Fiesta Texas will celebrate ist 30th anniversary. (eap)
