USA: The VOID Names Cliff Plumer as New CEO
The Void – a Utah-based entertainment technology company which is specialized in Virtual Reality (VR) experiences – recently appointed Cliff Plumer as the company’s new CEO, succeeding Ken Bretschneider. Plumer, who looks back on more than 30 years of experience in the fields of production, creative and technology, previously worked for the virtual reality media company Jaunt, where he served as president of Santa Monica-based Jaunt Studios. During that time, Plumer worked with partners and brands on the development and production of VR content.
“For years, people have been looking for that killer VR experience and The Void is it. The second I experienced it for the first time, I knew I had to be part of its success,” said Plumer. “Seeing truly is believing when it comes to virtual reality, and The Void’s immersive experiences are going to be the first real taste of virtual reality for consumers. I am confident that The Void will prove to be a leader and pioneer in the virtual reality world, inspiring mass-consumer adoption of VR,” he added. Ken Bretschneider, Co-Founder of The Void, will stay in the company in his new role as committee chair. The Void’s first public installation “Ghostbusters: Dimension” was opened last year at Madame Tussauds in New York City, immersing guests into the world of the famous ghost hunters.
