USA: Universal’s Islands of Adventure Debut New Harry Potter Projection Show
For its Harry Potter theme area at Islands of Adventure, Universal Orlando has announced to debut a new projection mapping show following “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle”, again putting the iconic Hogwarts castle into the right setting.
Main focus of the new show “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” will be the four “houses” of the “Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry” (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw & Slytherin). On select evenings during the year, the show will begin running at dusk and then be repeated throughout the evening. In addition to the visual elements, the show will feature music based on the original scores from the Harry Potter movies.
The event, which was also shown at Universal Studios Hollywood, will debut next week on January 31st. Today, visitors to Islands of Adventure can already enjoy a preview tied to a special Harry Potter event taking place at the park. (eap)
