USA: Universal Orlando Resort Reveals Further Details On “Skull Island: Reign of Kong“

Last year, Universal Orlando Resort announced its plans for the opening of its new “Skull Island: Reign of Kong” attraction at the Islands of Adventure theme park, which is scheduled to welcome its first visitors this summer (cf. EAP News from May 7, 2015). Recently, the resort revealed further details with regard to the famous giant gorilla “King Kong” themed 3-D adventure. Featuring innovative technology, the major attraction will be one of the longest Universal ride experiences ever created. The resort promises its guests a powerful storyline along with several surprises.

The experience begins as the visitors, led by a research team, explore a mysterious island rife with prehistoric creatures of unknown origin. According to the legend, a still undiscovered beast lives on Skull Island, too. Boarding a specially designed expedition vehicle, the guests are taken deeper into the secrets of the islands until they reach an enormous temple wall. Inside the temple, the visitors find a labyrinth of caves where they do not only meet their expedition leader but also huge creatures fighting against each other. When the creatures turn on the visitors, King Kong suddenly appears. But is he friend or foe…? (eap)
