USA/FL: Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Adds New Water Adventure

Located in Lake Buena Vista/Florida, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park plans to open a new adventurous water attraction next year – “Miss Fortune Falls” tells the story of the heroine “Captain Mary Oceaneer”, who, according to the legend, got stranded at Typhoon Lagoon years ago by a rough storm. The family-friendly water attraction will be located near the “Crush ‘n’ Gusher” slide.
During the two minute-whitewater ride on “treasure rafts”, guests dip into Captain Mary Oceaneer’s past and see unique artifacts that she collected on her many treasure hunts on the seven seas. “We are thrilled to add to our menu of great guest experiences at Disney’s Water Parks with 'Miss Fortune Falls'. We believe that this new attraction will quickly become a favorite with our guests, who are always looking for new ways to enjoy our parks,” said Faron Kelley, Vice President of ESPN Wide World of Sports, Disney’s Water Parks & Miniature Golf. “Miss Fortune Falls” is scheduled to open in spring 2017.
