Ukraine: First „Walltopia Adventure Hub“ to Be Built In Kiev
The Bulgarian-based company Walltopia, which is specialized in the development of artificial climbing walls, plans to build its first “Walltopia Adventure Hub” entertainment center in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev. It will from part of the Galaxy Family Entertainment Center located in Lavina Mall on an area of 450 square meters. To create a unique climbing experience for young and the young at heart, Walltopia will combine its different attractions developing one large complex. One of these attractions is the company’s state-of-the-art Rollglider, which is a 154 meter long rollercoaster zipline (c.f. our EAP special on “Rollercoaster Ziplines” in EAP, issues 6/2015 & 1/2016). “Walltopia Adventure Hub” will include 20 interactive “Fun Walls” for climbing fans, each one of them with an individual design. Furthermore, an 84 meter long adventure trail will lead to twelve “adventure houses” and a parabolic slide, a “Quick Jump” attraction will mimic the experience of Base jumping. According to the company, the entertainment center’s estimated capacity is 700 persons per hour or a maximum of 5,000 persons per day.
