The 21-hectare large Magic City amusement park in the center of Uzbekistan’s capital city Tashkent, which is open all year round, recently added a large public aquarium to its visitor offerings, where guests can explore unique underwater worlds in the style of the lost city of Atlantis. The brand-new Magic Aquarium covers a total area of about 2,700 square meters and includes 50 exhibits and a water volume of 1,300 cubic meters. Thematically, the aquarium’s exhibition is divided into the areas of “Uzbekistan History”, “Jungle”, “Touch & Discover”, “Atlantic Cave”, “Odd Shape Mariners”, “Pier”, “Shipwreck”, “Shark Hall”, “Discovery Room” (a 22-meter-long underwater tunnel) and “Magic World”.
Polin Aquariums, a company belonging to the Polin Group, was responsible for the implementation of the turnkey project, supervising it from conception through construction (together with the AKFA Group), engineering, equipment, to completion. The Magic City park, which is still very young and whose offer consists mainly of themed streets and buildings including a fairy-tale castle, as well as various attractions and entertainment, gastronomy and shopping, was opened in 2021.
