Vibeke Fjordbakk Named New CEO of Kongeparken

(eap) The Norwegian Kongeparken amusement park in Ålgård (near Stavanger) has a new CEO: Vibeke Fjordbakk took over the management of the park just this month. Fjordbakk has a background in tourism management and attraction development as well as extensive management experience in the service industry. Glenn André Viste Bøe, Managing Director of Parks at Lund Gruppen (operator of Kongeparken), is looking forward to working together with Fjordbakk: “Last year we were looking for the next CEO of Kongeparken. After a thorough process, it turned out that Vibeke is a very good fit for us. We look forward to her taking Kongeparken to the next level as a destination.”

Fjordbakk is eager to take on her new professional challenge: “I’m looking forward to contributing to the local community and making Ålgård a household name. I’m lucky to come to a well-run park, with great values, fantastic colleagues and so much potential to build on!”

Fjordbakk wants to emphasize on supporting young workers. Every year, Kongeparken employs around 350 seasonal staff memebers. The new park manager aims at offering these employees an attractive working environment with varied and exciting tasks: “We will see and support every young employee and ensure that they are well looked after.
