World’s First “Wave Twist L” Comes to Adventureland

(eap) The world’s first “Wave Twist L” attraction from RES RIDES is set to open at the Adventureland Long Island theme park in East Farmingdale, New York, in early 2025. Similar to the product name, the ride will be called “Wave Twister”. The Wave Twist L is a family attraction with a boomerang effect featuring two gondolas, each with ten seats, which are installed on a rotating platform that spins along an almost 280-feet (approx. 85-meter) long L-shaped track at a height of over 60 feet (18 meters).
“RES RIDES is thrilled to bring the first Wave Twist L to the market,” says Roman Rothe, Technical Director of RES RIDES. “Every year we introduce new rides that bring new movements and create new experiences, and the Wave Twist is truly unique in every way.”
A roller coaster of the “Roller Ball” type from RES, named “Fireball”, opened at Adventureland in 2022. In addition to the Wave Twister, the US amusement park is planning further investments over the next few years. ■
