World’s Largest Lego Model Landed at Legoland California/USA
The largest Lego model was displayed in New York’s Times Square by the end of May – a life-size Star Wars X-Wing fighter replica. The Star Wars spaceship is reportedly 13 meters long, weighs 20 tons and was created from five million Lego bricks. While the construction took the model builders around four months, the planning of the spaceship lasted over two years. The landing of the spaceship in New York should help to promote a new animated Star Wars series shown on Cartoon Network. The spaceship eventually landed at Legoland California Resort in mid-June. Park guests will be able to enjoy the model for the remainder of the year. (eap)
