nWave Receives Distribution Rights for „Penguins 3D“

3D film expert nWave Studios, headquartered in Brusselles with a satellite office in Burbank / California, announced at the end of February their acquisition of worldwide distribution for the film “Penguins 3D” (working title) from the British production company, Atlantic Productions, also known for “Flying Monsters 3D”. Written and narrated by naturalist and veteran filmmaker David Attenborough, the film is about the story of a young penguin on his way back home. It will be released in the US market on May 24, 2013. The film will be available from nWave exclusively for exhibition at IMAX theatres, REALD and digitial 3D giant screen cinemas. “We are thrilled and proud to work with Atlantic on the big screen release of this mesmerizing, 3D story-driven film that will wow kids and families alike”, says Eric Dillens, chairman of nWave Studios. “This film acquisition marks an important step for our distribution company in our new strategy to provide a continuous flow of stunning and factually accurate films for exhibition in IMAX theatres and digital 3D cinemas at major US and international institutional and entertainment venues.” (eap)
