US Indoor Theme Park to Open Two Rollercoasters from German Supplier
The Nickelodeon Universe indoor theme park, which will be located in the American Dream shopping and entertainment center currently under construction in Bergen County/New Jersey (developer: Triple Five, opening scheduled for 2019), has recently announced to open two rollercoasters for high-thrill and riding fun. The planned rides, which will be supplied by German manufacturer Gerstlauer Amusement Rides (in cooperation with its North American distribution partner Ride Entertainment), include an intertwined “Euro-Fighter” model with launch section and a beyond-vertical drop as well as a spinning coaster whose cars rotate on a vertical axis as they move along the track. Both coasters will be intertwined so that the combined 14 vehicles will run in and around each other.
“Featuring the best in family and adult entertainment, Nickelodeon Universe theme park at American Dream has been designed to appeal to customers of all ages. By working with the best partners in the business, our park experience will be highly themed and offer one of a kind rides by Gerstlauer,” said Don Ghermezian, President of Triple Five. Siegfried Gerstlauer, CEO of Gerstlauer, added, “We have worked on many projects, but this will be unlike anything we have ever designed. Visitors to Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream are in for a great ride.” The manufacturer will present a model of the two rollercoasters at its trade show booth during the upcoming IAAPA Expo in Orlando.
