USA: Two Bit Circus Micro-Amusement Park to Launch New “Yoga” VR Experience
As of April 9th this year, visitors to Los Angeles’ Two Bit Circus Micro-Amusement ParkTM, which opened last September with a range of different offerings including nostalgic carnival games, arcade machines and Mixed- & Virtual Reality experiences, will be able to try out the new “EmbodyMove” VR experience, inviting participants to yoga and aikido practices.
The virtual fitness program was developed by Venice/California-based technology & design studio MAP Design Lab in partnership with lululemon Whitespace from Vancouver/Canada (brand for yoga apparel), supported by the Sundance Institute non-profit organization (“New Frontier Sundance 2019” program).
Two users can try out the experience simultaneously – equipped with a VR headset only, players can focus on creating fluid movements while standing on pressure-sensing yoga mats measuring the accuracy the player completes the pose with. The better the users perform, the more the virtual environment changes and evolves around them. An interesting VR application for wellness complexes, too! (eap)
