Canada: WhiteWater Launches New “Endless Surf“ Surf Pool
Canada-based WhiteWater West water slide and attraction manufacturer presents its newly developed “Endless Surf“ artificial wave pool system for surf sport enthusiasts, in order to strengthen the company’s position on the continuously growing inland surf pool market. The facility is scalable in its size (up to a width of 300 metres / 1,000 feet in a two hectares / 5-acres pool) and features powerful, efficient and customizable waves providing surfers with a surf experience of about 26 seconds per wave, according to the manufacturer. A technical interface gives operators the possibility to control the change of the waves according to the requirement and visitor numbers. Additionally, the system is able to create three different wave types at the same time, so that beginners and professionals are able to surf simultaneously.
“[…] With Endless Surf, we introduce the next generation of surf pool technology. Our goal is to make the world’s best man-made wave, creating an authentic surf experience that enables tens of thousands to discover the thrill of surfing for the first time,” comments Geoff Chutter, CEO of WhiteWater West. Paul Chutter, Chief Business Development Officer, adds: “Our reliable pneumatic technology creates endless rolling sets, designed for operational success; being flexible, high capacity, and above all else, safe.“
The first “Endless Surf“ facility will be developed in the new La Vague Grand Paris sport and leisure complex in Sevran near Paris, France, which is set to launch in 2023. La Vague is part of a new, 30 hectares (74 acres) large city development project called Terre d’Eaux, which will combine urban living with nature, culture, leisure and sport. (eap)
