UAE: Motiongate Dubai Announces Two New Thrill Rollercoasters for Early 2021

Early 2021 will see the debut of two new rollercoasters at Dubai’s MotiongateTM film theme park, which is part of Dubai Parks & Resorts. Thrill enthusiasts can look forward to a new 4D Free Spin Coaster from S&S and a Spinning Coaster from German manufacturer Maurer Rides, both to be installed in the “Lionsgate” theme area in the park.
The 4D Free Spin Coaster will receive a theming related to the successful “John Wick” action movie series. Named “John Wick: Open Contract”, the ride will feature a track length of over 310 meters, on which guests will experience forces of up to 2.8 g when they freely spin forwards and backwards and rush along steep track sections at the same time at a top speed of 64 km/h.
As “the world’s fastest single-car spinning coaster”, Motiongate is announcing the “Now You See Me: High Roller” Spinning Coaster, based on the “Now You See Me” blockbuster movie. The coaster layout will include elements such as an Immelmann turn, a half twist and non-inverted loops. Riders will reach a top speed of up to 70 km/h. The creative design for the two new rollercoasters is being developed in cooperation with Forrec.
