(eap) The AGGUA Troisdorf public pool in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) will be operated by the Gesellschaft für Entwicklung und Management von Freizeitsystemen (GMF) also in the next five years. AGGUA TROISDORF Gesellschaft für Betrieb von Sport- und Freizeiteinrichtungen and GMF recently extended their cooperation until the end of 2029. GMF has been responsible for the operational management of Aggua since January 2021.

Aggua Troisdorf offers both sports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation a wide range of features and activities. The indoor hall houses a total of four pools, including an adventure pool with a current channel, a wide slide and an 80-metre-long “Black Hole” slide. In the summer season, bathers also have access to an outdoor pool with a 7.5-metre-high diving platform, a wide slide and a toddlers’ zone with a playground. There is also a modern sauna facility with a tree house sauna and lounge area.

GMF supports the public pool in its operational management. The company has been offering this type of service since 1991, promising to relieve pressure on resources of local authorities or private investors. Depending on requirements, GMF takes on staff or provides personnel for operations. GMF’s customers include Therme Obernsees, BadeLand Wolfsburg and Donautherme Ingolstadt, which was reopened in new splendour just last year (see EAP 3/2023). ■
