Abu Dhabi/UAE: Yas Waterworld Celebrates Third Anniversary

Following a construction period of one and a half years, January 2013 saw the opening of Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, which is operated by Farah Leisure Parks Management (cf. EAP, issue 2/2013). On the occasion of its third anniversary, the waterpark looks back on the key milestones and achievements in 2015. “The park has continued to exceed all of our expectations through 2015, with positive responses from our guests from within the UAE as well as from the region and across the world,” Tim Mow, General Manager at Yas Waterworld, says.

The park states that primarily a special price offer for UAE residents and the popular “Ladies Night” contributed to a successful year 2015. Furthermore, Yas Waterworld, which hosted the “World Flowboarding Championships” for the third consecutive year, enlarged its attractions portfolio e.g. by introducing the new “Legend of the Lost Pearl” show and a camel riding offer. The waterpark was also honored with four awards in 2015, including the “Traveller’s Choice Award” and the “Certificate of Excellence”, which are both awarded by the travel website TripAdvisor.
