Australia: First Successful Event for Visually Impaired Children at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne

LEGOLAND^® Discovery Centre in Melbourne recently hosted the first LEGO^® Braille Bricks event for children who are blind or have low vision. LEGO Braille Bricks, which are still not in commercial production, are larger than standard LEGO bricks and have imprints corresponding to a letter or character of the braille alphabet. In addition, the bricks are also imprinted with the appropriate letters and symbols to enable all kids to play together. At this world-first event, which was organized by the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in partnership with the non-profit organization Vision Australia, 20 families were invited to test the new experience and explore the leisure facility.
