(eap) At Messe Wien (Hall C) – near the Vienna Prater – karting & gaming fans find BattleKart: Beyond Reality, where they can duel themselves as drivers in six different interactive mini-games in e-karts from RiMO. Due to the success of the race track opened in April last year (see EAP news from 03.04.2023), one more track is available from now on, so that up to 24 drivers – 12 per track – can now race through the augmented reality world. A total of over 100 projectors create a virtual video game environment on the floor and walls of the hall, which now covers 3,600 square meters of racing space.

“It’s great to see how well the fusion of gaming and real karting action has been received. We are very happy that we can meet the huge demand with a second race track now! Of course, we are also very proud that we are now the largest immersive experience center in the world. BattleKart is more than just a game – it’s an unforgettable experience that brings people together. With 24 of our super-sporty electric karts, we now offer even more perfect options for larger groups, from birthday parties to corporate events,” says Martin Dencker, Managing Director of BattleKart Vienna.

The BattleKart concept was developed by Sébastien Millecam in 2012 as his final studies paper – the first location opened in Mouscron, Belgium, in July 2015. Since then, more than 30 further locations have been established worldwide. ■
