Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Gets New Suspended Coaster in 2024
(eap) The Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay animal and theme park, part of the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment group, has announced a new roller coaster for 2024. Next year, a Family Suspended Coaster dubbed “Phoenix Rising” from Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard will open in the Pantopia-themed area of the park. The ride is to be 560 meters (1,831 foot) long and will allow visitors to experience a maximum speed of around 71 km/h (44 mph). The winding ride will be open to guests with a body height of one meter (42 inches). As a special feature, the cars of the attraction will be equipped with an on-board audio system so that the matching roller coaster soundtrack can be enjoyed during the ride.
“Phoenix Rising will be an extraordinary journey for our seasoned coaster enthusiasts and younger thrill-seekers alike,” said Stewart Clark, President of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. “Joining a comprehensive coaster collection, this new attraction reinforces our commitment to provide guests with new, immersive and one-of-a-kind experiences.” ■
