Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Opens Phoenix Rising
(eap) At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, the animal and theme park in Florida operated by United Parks & Resorts, the new “Phoenix Rising” roller coaster opened this past weekend. The attraction is an Inverted Family Coaster from Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, which reaches speeds of up to 70 km/h over a track length of 560 meters. The park’s tenth roller coaster was inspired by the legends of the Phoenix and is the first roller coaster in the park to be equipped with on-board audio and lighting.
“We are very excited to introduce Phoenix Rising to our guests,” says Stewart Clark, park president of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. “With a height requirement of just 42 inches tall, this is an adventure the whole family can enjoy together.” The new coaster can be found in the “Pantopia” themed area of the park.
Also new at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is an ice show in the “Moroccan Palace Theater” entitled “Rhythm of Nature”, which lets visitors accompany “Dakari”, the brave young hero, on his journey to a magical dream realm. Furthermore, the Treetop Kitchen restaurant has reopened with new theming, new décor and a new menu. The Treetop Kitchen is located on the third floor of the “Serengeti Overlook” and offers a mix of Latin American and African cuisine. ■
