Penguin Trek: Newest Coaster at SeaWorld Orlando
(eap) This Sunday, July 7, “Penguin Trek”, the newest roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando, will celebrate its official opening. With the new attraction from Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), the park has added a family-friendly ride to its broad coaster portfolio, which can be ridden from a height of just one meter (42 inches). Despite this, there is a pleasant dose of action: With two acceleration sections and speeds of up to 70 km/h, the coaster winds its way on the 920-meter-long track through both indoor and outdoor areas.
Passengers embark on a themed expedition through the icy Antarctic and are immersed in a penguin habitat when they get off the train. In addition to Penguin Trek, visitors to the new themed area “Antarctica Realm” can enjoy drinks in the “South Pole Sips Bar” or meals in the “Expedition Café” while watching penguins up close.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce our newest addition to SeaWorld Orlando's outstanding roller coaster lineup,” said Jon Peterson, president of SeaWorld Orlando. “Penguin Trek offers a unique blend of thrills and education that allows guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of Antarctica while emphasizing our commitment to wildlife conservation and family-friendly fun. We look forward to welcoming families and thrill-seekers alike to experience the fun of this incredible roller coaster.”
