Canada: ProSlide Technology Celebrates 35th Anniversary
Founded in 1986 by Rick Hunter in Ottawa, Canada, water slide manufacturer ProSlide Technology is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. Until to date, the supplier has implemented a wide range of water slides and attractions at parks and resorts in over 40 countries. Focusing on development, the company early extended its product portfolio of traditional water slides by adding attractions such as LIM-powered Hydro Magnetic water coasters and continues thriving for innovation, continuously expanding its range of attractions for a wide target group.
The most extensive projects realized by ProSlide in recent years include Universal’s Volcano Bay water park in Orlando (opening in 2017, cf. our cover story in EAP 6/2017) and the Rulantica water world at Europa-Park in Rust, which opened in late 2019 and which ProSlide equipped together with German supplier Aquarena. This summer, the outdoor expansion of Rulantica is scheduled to open with several new slide attractions. In the course of its company anniversary, ProSlide has also just launched a new web presence that, among other features, enables customers to have an optimized user experience with any device. (eap)
