Denmark: Tivoli Registers Best-Ever Results for 2015
Denmark’s Tivoli amusement park can look back on a successful year 2015: As the Copenhagen-based park announced a few days ago, it registered the best annual results in its history. The profit before tax amounted to 64.1 million DKK (about 8.6 million EUR) in 2015, which is an increase of 14 percent compared to the previous year. A new record was also set in terms of attendance figures – visited by 4.7 million guests last year, the park recorded a rise of six percent. “Not only did we have a lot of visitors in 2015, we also had very satisfied visitors who were happy to spend their time and money at Tivoli,” says Tivoli’s CEO Lars Liebst. According to customer surveys, visitors particularly appreciate the park’s good quality and excellent service standards.
Tivoli’s financial expectations for 2016 include revenues in line with 2015 (around 900 million DKK/ 120 million EUR) and profit before tax of 60 to 70 million DKK (8 to 9 million EUR). On April 6, the amusement park will start into its new season. Following a construction stop at its new “Fatamorgana” ride (cf. EAP News from February 15, 2015), the park could meanwhile continue the works and expects to open the tower ride along with the well-known attractions at the beginning of April. (eap)
