Development Plan for Oasis at Lakeport in Missouri Approved
(eap) St. Louis, MO (USA)-based SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development, together with Fred Ross, owner of Big Thunder Marine, have announced that the development plan for a new family resort and entertainment district at the Lake of the Ozarks reservoir in Missouri has been approved. Some 350 million US dollar (around 320 million Euros) will be invested in the new “Oasis at Lakeport” resort and entertainment district. The plan is to create a roughly 25-acre (10-hectare) year-round entertainment district that will include roller coasters as well as thrill and family attractions. Also, there will be a nearly 70-meter-high observation wheel. In addition, an indoor water park, a Marriott hotel, several restaurants, as well as a 26,000-square-foot (2,400-square-meter) conference center and 200 public boat slips will be part of the coming new getaway destination.
“With the development plan approved by the City of Osage Beach, we are extremely pleased to begin construction of Oasis at Lakeport, which will offer year-round attractions and entertainment for everyone at the lake to enjoy,” said Todd Schneider, co-managing partner of SkyView Partners. “SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development are committed to keeping the Osage Beach community informed of our progress over the next year as Oasis grows to be the premiere tourist destination of the Midwest.” Oasis at Lakeport is scheduled to open as early as next summer. ■
