Discover Sweets, Candies & Snacks for Leisure Attractions in Cologne
(eap) The International Sweets and Snacks Trade Fair (ISM) in Cologne, which is hosting more than 1,400 exhibitors from 74 countries this year, is taking place at the halls of Koelnmesse exhibition center through Wednesday this week (31 January 2024). In addition to customers from the retail and wholesale sectors, the trade show event also counts operators of all kinds of leisure facilities and attractions among its visitors – from classic and exotic fruit gum varieties, new chocolate creations and almost sugar-free candy floss in large quantities to artisanal gingerbread, ice cream and candy production, there are a wide variety of treats to discover for your own shop.
Latest trends reflect the changing nutritional behavior of younger consumer groups in particular, which can be seen, for example, in confectionery creations based on plant-based raw materials, the use of sugar substitutes and natural ingredients. One trendy development is the so-called “freeze dried candies”: sweets preserved by freeze-drying, whose flavour is intensified by the prior removal of water. Numerous new developments can also be discovered in the field of packaging solutions, which are based on innovative material combinations and upcycling with the aim of improving sustainability.
