Doloris Meta Maze Coming to Utrecht in 2024
Building on the success of the first Doloris attraction that opened 2019 in Tilburg, the Netherlands, a second location has now been announced, coming to Utrecht in 2024. The concept of Doloris is not easy to explain – this becomes clear when you watch the attraction’s teaser (click here to see Part I & Part II). Is interactive art museum a correct description? The operators themselves describe it as “many things”.

Art can not only be marveled at, but also touched and experienced – that allows visitors to immerse themselves in other worlds. “Dolori’s Meta Maze” is the name of the experience. On over 400 square meters, the creators, the Berlin-based company of Karmanoia, have created a surrealistic labyrinth with 40 rooms that are reminiscent of “Alice in Wonderland” at the Tilburg location. In addition to the art experience, there is also a rooftop terrace with panoramic views over Tilburg and a gastronomic offering.
At the new location in the Dutch student city of Utrecht, the art labyrinth is to be almost twice as large. It will be created in collaboration with local artists from the city. Here, too, there will be a gastronomic offering that is linked to the art maze. (eap)
