Dubai/UAE: DXB Entertainment Announces Plans to Expand Lapita Hotel Brand
The Dubai-based leisure and entertainment company DXB Entertainment, owner of the Dubai Parks & Resorts theme park complex, recently announced its intention to grow its LapitaTM hotel brand in the region. Following the opening of the first LapitaTM hotel (as part of the Marriott group) at the beginning of this year, the publicly listed company aims to establish a series of LapitaTM hotels and eventually become a global chain. Designed with a Polynesian theme, the hotel in Dubai is located at the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts, which was opened at the end of 2016 (cp. EAP 6/16), and offers 504 rooms, including 60 suites and three villas. In order to deliver shareholder value and become a leading provider of leisure and entertainment offerings, DXB Entertainments intends to launch LapitaTM in other prime entertainment destinations – based on the same business model, offering overnight accommodation for theme parks at entertainment destinations. For CEO Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, the expansion plans mark the next important step in the company’s strategy and the brand’s offering. (eap)
