FORT FUN: Great Season Results & New Attraction Coming in 2025
(eap) After a record-breaking 2023 season, Germany’s FORT FUN Abenteuerland western-style theme park in the Sauerland region can once again look back on an extremely positive year. The months of July and August in particular saw an enormous increase in visitor numbers, which exceeded the already high expectations, according to the park. “We are very pleased that, despite the general challenges in the leisure market and the mixed weather conditions in April, May, June and part of July, we will not only achieve our targets, but with a bit of luck even exceed them. [...] Our employees have made a decisive contribution to this great result,” commented Fort Fun Managing Director Andreas Sievering.
And a look into the near future also promises exciting things: in 2025, a new attraction – a Wild Swing by ART Engineering – is to be added to the “Yakari Erlebniswelt” children’s area. The family ride will take up to 16 guests at a time to lofty heights (up to twelve meters). “We are proud to take another step into the future of Fort Fun with this attraction and to offer our guests an unforgettable experience,” says Dijamant Neziraj, Head of Marketing at the park operated by the French Looping Group.
Before the new attraction opens in the coming season, visitors can still look forward to a wide range of park fun this year. The Halloween event days are eagerly awaited. On October 31, there will be an exclusive “Hallow Eve Special” with a limited number of tickets for an experience guaranteed to give goosebumps. For younger guests, the “KidsOween” event days will take place on two weekends in October in a gruesomely scary atmosphere. Anyone who spends one of the beautiful late summer days in the park and, depending on the temperatures, also on the white-water ride, can now look forward to a new real-time waiting time display also on this attraction. Most recently, the “Devil’s Mine” family roller coaster was equipped with this technical solution from purematic (c.f. EAP News from 14 June 2023).
