France: Brand-New Parc Spirou Theme Park Now Open

After numerous invited guests had already attended an inauguration ceremony on 1^st of June, France’s all-new Parc Spirou theme park was officially opened to the public this past Saturday, 16th of June (read also our EAP online news from Sept 27th, 2017). Located in the municipality of Monteux in southern France (in the Provence-Alps-Côte d’Azur region), the new theme park thematically focusses on popular French and Belgian comic book characters such as Spirou, Lucky Luke and Marsupilami, which can be found throughout the park, counting around twelve major attractions.

Based on a development plan of several years, Parc Spirou promises to surprise its guests with at least one new attraction every year. With a total of 250 employees per season, Parc Spirou aims at contributing significantly to the region’s economy and tourism development.
