Futuroscope Opens New Water Park Aquascope
(eap) The French theme park Futuroscope opens the gates to its new Aquascope water park today, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in three indoor themed zones over an area of more than 7,000 square metres. There is something for everyone in the family: Water and digital art merge in the “Les Abysses de lumière” area. Using video mapping, light shows, projections, interactive elements and choreographed water effects, visitors are transported into imaginary worlds. The Canadian company Moment Factory is responsible for the multimedia installations.
In “Les Toboggans et le Rift”, waterslide fans can look forward to eight slides from Polin Waterparks, which should appeal to thrill-seekers and families alike. Children aged three and over are in the right place in the fantastic world of “La Faille de Kraki”. Five child-friendly slides, a water labyrinth, a music grotto and a pool with interactive elements await young bathers here. Furthermore, there is an outdoor area, “La plage et ses piscines”, which is open in good weather, as well as a gastronomy, named “Kobalt”.
A total of 57 million euros was invested in the water park – the largest investment Futuroscope has made since it was founded in 1987. The expansion is part of “Futuroscope Xperiences”, with which the park positions itself as a comprehensive resort from now on. Find out more about Aquascope in our next EAP magazines issue 5/2024. ■
