German Leisure Park & Attraction Entrepreneurs Go on the Offensive

The German Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (VDFU) is currently developing a comprehensive catalogue of measures together with an external team of experts (consisting of tourism policy advisors and recognized virologists) for an early reopening of leisure facilities in the country. This catalogue will describe different scenarios for a gradual reopening (cf. EAP news of 14 Apr 2020).

In view of the forthcoming telephone conference between the German Chancellor and the Minister Presidents of the federal states about a further possible relaxation of the current corona protection measures, the VDFU has launched a broad-based media campaign communicating in clear words and pictures the strong economic impact for the leisure industry caused by the current shutdown (here a report in the media library of the ARD television channel in German language). The industry association intends to influence future decisions in this way. (eap)
