Germany: “Hummel Brummel“ Starts Flying through Schwaben Park on Saturday
As of this coming weekend, visitors to Schwaben Park in Southern Germany will be able to experience the all-new “Hummel Brummel” Wie-Flyer attraction, which will be officially inaugurated on Saturday. For a flight with the “bumblebee” the ride features seven gondolas à two seats each; an interactive steering lever will allow guests to control their flying speed (up to 40 km/h) themselves (cf. EAP 3/2020).
The new coaster was supplied by Germany’s Wiegand company, as was the bob kart attraction opened at the park back in 2000. “The bob kart is extremely popular with our guests, so that when we started looking for a new attraction the decision fell quickly on Wiegand as the supplier again,” comments Park Manager André Hudelmaier.
While park visitors will be able to experience the new Wie-Flyer attraction as of Saturday this week, the theming works, a related insect hotel and a butterfly meadow are scheduled to be completed in the 2021 season. (eap)
