Germany: AquaMagis Honored with Two New Distinctions
Following an excellent 2015 annual balance with more than 425,000 visitors, AquaMagis has successfully started into the new year. The Plettenberg-based (North Rhine Westphalia) wellness and waterpark complex was honored with two new distinctions, which prove the attractiveness of its offer. The German SWIM magazine names AquaMagis the second “Waterpark of the Year” behind Therme Erding. Furthermore, the Warstein-based Welcome-Hotel has honored the waterpark as an excursion highlight in the Sauerland region. “Both distinctions are a great success for us. They symbolize our orientation: On the one hand, we provide a wide range of experience offers, which are well-recognized all over Germany, and on the other hand it shows our identification with the Sauerland region. We are also an excursion destination in close proximity,” says AquaMagis’ operations manager Martin Roth.
Several changes were made at AquaMagis within the last year. Apart from the opening of the world’s first standing slides (cf. EAP, issue 5/2015), the new about 1,000 square meter large bathing area “WASSERwelt.PLUS” (Engl.: WATERworld.PLUS), which includes e.g. four non-nude saunas and a year-round outdoor pool, was introduced in the course of a restructuring of the sauna area. Featuring different worlds of experiences, the waterpark offers a perfect combination of action and comfort. (eap)
