Germany: Explorado Children Museum with New Digital and Analog Features

Since yesterday the hands-on and children museum Explorado in Duisburg has been presenting itself with new digital and analog offerings for young and old. In addition to the popular and proven interactive exhibits, new analog and digital features now invite visitors to share exciting and educational experiences designed to appeal to three different generations (children, parents and grandparents). These new features include the new “SisyFox” module, where guests can control an oversized trackball and use it to move a fox on a large screen – this game is to exercise the whole body. Analog and digital are also being combined with the new “Paint2Life” drawing capsule (see picture), where children can draw marine creatures, scan them and make them swim in a giant digital aquarium.

“The digital modules in particular also appeal to older children and open up completely new possibilities for outings with the whole family, with everyone finding something that suits their current wishes and needs,” says Explorado operations manager Carsten Tannhäuser. He continues, “But playing soccer together in the “Hexagol” is just as much as fun for ages 4-99 as creating a city with the whole family out of the popular sticking bricks in the also new “SteineGarten”. Everyone for themselves, but especially all together!” (eap)
