Germany: Jaderpark Starts into New Season
After the winter break, the theme and amusement parks now start to open its doors again. One of theses parks is Germany’s Tier- und Freizeitpark Jaderberg, located in the federal state of Lower Saxony, which kicks off its 20th summer season today. In its anniversary year, the animal and amusement park will surprise its guests with a new attraction: This summer, the “Grizzly Mountain Adventure” themed area, which was opened last year (cf. EAP, issue 5/2015), will be completed by “Grizzly Bay”, a gigantic water adventure world.
Until then, visitors can look forward to the park’s well-known, diverse attractions portfolio. Featuring different rides such as a rollercoaster and a whitewater ride, many sports and playing devices as well as calmer attractions including boat rides and electronic theatres, the park offers entertainment for both children and adults in its leisure area and play zone. The modernized animal park, which was already founded in 1950 as a classical zoo, is home to more than 600 animals that live in spacious outdoor enclosures, tropical and warm houses as well as petting enclosures. As usual, the park will organize several events this season: At the beginning of its anniversary year, Jaderpark will offer a family day and in summer, the park will invite its guests to its popular jungle nights. Since its opening in 1996, Jaderpark has been operated by the Ludewigt family. (eap)
