Germany: Karls Erlebnis-Dorf Plans Opening of a New Location in Döbeln Easter 2024
Strawberry farmer and business man Robert Dahl, managing director of Karls Erlebnis-Dörfer, revealed new information about the planned location in Döbeln. This is to be built at the freeway exit Döbeln. At the beginning of November this year, the decision for the development plan is to be made and building applications are to be submitted. The current plan for construction work is to start in February/March 2023, so that the location can be opened around Easter of the following year. Dahl dispelled speculations about possible construction work already underway and clarified that the current work involves excavations of 7,000-year-old shards, which were initiated by the state office. With regard to the construction of the Karls Erlebnis-Dorf, there are already detailed plans in the background, to once again excel in design and the selection of attractions at the new location. The site in Döbeln could be the sixth to open in Germany – except of the case that the parallel evolving village in Oberhausen will be completed prior to the one in Döbeln. There is another new Karls Erlebnis-Dorf site planned for Bavaria.
In addition to new insights into the planned Erlebnis-Dorf in Saxony, Dahl also commented on new sustainabilty measures at all Karls venues: LED lights will be in use, lighting times are to be shortened and solar installations are to be further expanded. In the wake of the currrent energy crisis, Dahl sees the Karls Erlebnis-Dörfer well positioned: The versatile leisure offer, which complements the shopping worlds, also includes a number of cost-free activities for families, too.
