Germany: LEGOLAND Deutschland Opens New Creative Center
To mark the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group, LEGOLAND Deutschland opened a new creative center called “LEGO Building Fun” in its “IMAGINATION” theme area. It is the second offer of this kind, complementing the building fun provided in the “Rebuild the World” station dedicated entirely to imaginative building with the colorful bricks. Until August 13, there is also a special family event taking place, dubbed “Play your Way”. Here, a LEGO master invites guests to a special building challenge in which a specific role (Designer, Maker, Explorer, Storyteller or Dreamer) is determined for each guest. Depending on the role, the guests receive a matching challenge – e.g. the “Dreamers” receive a magical lion as a building task. After completing their tasks, guests will receive a LEGO Pop badge.
“We, the LEGOLAND Team, think it’s great that we are able to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group here in our park – with a new attraction for our guests! We have practically been the largest LEGO playroom in Germany for 20 years now. That is why I cannot imagine a better way to celebrate our anniversaries together, as with new building fun individually tailored to one’s personality and appealing to the young and the young-at-heart alike,” comments Manuela Stone, General Manager of LEGOLAND Deutschland.
