Germany: New Interactive “House of Magic” Experience World Comes to Oberhausen
The House of Magic – an interactive, “magical” experience world inspired by the Ehrlich Brothers’ live shows – will open in the Expohalle at Westfield Centro in Oberhausen, Germany on 17th November this fall. A total of 19 individually designed rooms with a total number of 150 exhibits, which together cover an area of 3,000 square metres on the top floor of the Expohalle, will invite visitors to immerse themselves in a world of magic for about two hours. A lift will take them to the mysterious rooms, where they can e.g. walk across a “shrink carpet” to become as tiny as a mouse and end up in the Ehrlich Brothers’ suitcase, marvel at wondrous mirrors which make them invisible, or get transported via a teleporter from one place to another. In a virtual reality experience, the experienced magicians can also embark on a daredevil flight with the latest brooms. Numerous effects, including flashing lights, fog and pyrotechnics, add to the magical staging. A “Magic Shop” offers appropriate magic and fan articles to be taken home.

Another new experience at Westfield Centro is Youseum, which opened a few days ago – a social media pop-up museum where selfie lovers can take photos in front of creative backdrops. (eap)
