Great Wolf Lodge Announces Opening Date for Florida Resort
(eap) Operator Great Wolf Lodge has announced the opening date for its 21st location in North America. No later than October 1, 2024, a Great Wolf Lodge Resort is scheduled to open in Naples, South Florida. Recently, construction was completed on the exterior of the resort building. Now the focus of the involved firms Suffolk, Neumann Pools and ID3 is on completing the interior of the resort, which includes a 90,000-square-foot (approx. 8,400-square-meter) indoor water park and a 60,000-square-foot (some 5,600-square-meter) Great Wolf Adventure Park as well as 500 family-friendly guest suites.
“Today marks a significant milestone in the construction of Great Wolf Lodge South Florida, as we start focusing on the interior portions of the resort and all the amazing family experiences we will offer,” said John Murphy, Chief Executive Officer for Great Wolf Resorts. “We’re looking forward to opening this resort and offering families across South Florida with a close, convenient and carefree getaway destination, providing year-round family fun with experiences, attractions and entertainment designed to help families strengthen their pack.”
More than 250 million US dollars (approx. 227 million euros) are being invested in the construction of the resort by Great Wolf Lodge’s shareholders Blackstone and Centerbridge Partners. In the water park, visitors can expect a variety of tube, raft and body slides, as well as activity pools and splash areas. Also, visitors can look forward to familiar attractions from other Great Wolf resorts in the family entertainment center. These include “MagiQuest”, a live-action adventure game. In addition, there will be various family events such as yoga trails and dance parties, as well as a wide range of gastronomic offerings. Those planning not a family but a corporate getaway will also find what they are looking for at the new Great Wolf Lodge Resort. The Florida location offers over 8,000-square-feet (approx. 740-square-meters) of conference space. ■
